It is important to remember the environmental impact of opening any large section of land to the general public. While the Rail Trail will certainly bring with it a greater appreciation of our county's wildlife, like Steve said, we must still remember the repercussions that this will bring with it. Just because there are trash receptacles in a certain area doesn't necessarily mean that people will use them. If anything, there should be a hefty fine enforced for littering along the trail, and a fine that is enforced, just to ensure that a human presence in the area doesn't disturb the native species.
P.S. Shut it Steve, the 80's sucked. Nirvana, 'nuff said.
